Enabling Omni-Channel Retailing For An Iconic Outdoor Brand
Eddie Bauer was looking to move to a modern, extensible, and flexible ecommerce platform capable of supporting their highly customized legacy functionality and existing integration ecosystem. Omni-channel integration with Eddie Bauer’s print catalog and physical in-store kiosks were important elements to support in this holistic solution.
The primary goal of this program was to migrate Eddie Bauer’s ecommerce store to a best-in-class commerce solution, powered by Oracle Commerce. To this end, Amplifi leveraged its proven methodology designed to extrapolate unique business requirements and address them through the combined application of business process and technology. In partnership with Eddie Bauer, Amplifi Commerce was to design a customer experience that attracts and appeals to outdoor enthusiasts. The site is to provide a rich set of product information, social integration, video, and world-class guide and athlete editorial content that showcases Eddie Bauer’s innovative and unique technical gear.
Endeca’s Search and Guided Navigation features were leveraged to create a compelling customer experience with dynamic and robust navigation that showcases Eddie Bauer’s modern outdoor lifestyle clothing and accessory offering.
The multi-channel capabilities of Eddie Bauer were optimized by developing a customized version of the Eddie Bauer.com site for in-store Kiosk shopping and checkout capabilities.
A “Catalog Quick Order” feature was supported to enable customers to seamlessly shop from the print Catalog but purchase from the Eddie Bauer.com site.
Operational and merchandising efficiencies were enhanced through the implementation of collections based merchandising custom promotions associated with proprietary credit cards, and site preview features.
Commerce Service Center (CSC) was built out and customized enabling call center agents to handle customer calls, modify orders, and assist customers in placing orders.
The ATG Commerce platform was leveraged to provide curated Collection/Shop based merchandising and customer experiences through dynamic product attributes and custom badging to showcase Eddie Bauer’s broad assortments in a compelling and convenient manner for customers to find and buy.
To complement the commerce platform, Amplifi integrated over 35 service providers with the Eddie Bauer.com site providing capabilities such as tag management, SEO, web analytics, ratings and reviews, transactional / marketing email generation, and international ordering capabilities.
Additional services such as custom Monogramming, Hemming, Fit Guide, and Gift Wrap were seamlessly incorporated into the shopping experience.
